2 PERSPECTIVES OF DISCIPLESHIP
PERSONAL
A disciple is a loyal follower of Jesus Christ. When Jesus asked His core disciples, “… “Are you also going to leave?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” A true disciple stays on a life path of becoming more like their master in character, conduct and mission. “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:6,7)
MISSIONAL
As God directs, disciples grow to understand the Great Commission which Jesus gave in Matthew 28:18-20. They love the adventure of seeing others come to Christ and grow as Christians. To be missional means adopting a posture of intentional evangelism and discipleship.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

A DISCIPLE WHO DISCIPLES
A disciplemaker is a mature believer who has a passion for establishing other Christians in their walk with God, character development and personal ministry. “…teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” (Colosians 1:28)
