The Knox Church Building
The Knox Church was originally built in 1907 as Knox Presbyterian Church. The Knox Hall addition came later in 1949 when it was Knox United Church. The building now blesses Knox Evangelical Free Church. Click on the photos to learn more about this lovely old building and the people who worshipped here.
Restoration
Knox Church was built in 1907 and is a recognized historic resource – a full history is found in the Alberta Register of Historic Places. Certainly, historic buildings like Knox Church require ongoing improvements to keep it fit for use and safe for the public. We are currently working to raise $600,000 to go toward such things as restoring brickwork, fixing windows, roofs and eavestroughs, painting and plastering the sanctuary etc.
